I woke up today to one of my SKUs showing as out of stock. Turns out Amazon has marked all units as defective.
Support can’t investigate, or give a reason. What I have to do is pay for removal order, inspect them, then send them straight back in (since they are definitely not defective).
Has anyone had this, and any success avoiding this unnecessary back and forth?
Any possible legit reasons that this may happen that I am overlooking?

Answer: I’ve had this happen once 3 years back. I ended up just removing all of them and had a shipment of new stock sent in at the same time. I still have no idea how and why it happened, seller support were useless. After a short while I realised that just removing everything and sending in a new shipment at the same time as the only way to get my listing available again ASAP. It wasted funds and the ASIN was unavailable for a few days but this did fix it. I still have no reason or explanation for it. Unless there’s a categorical reason, you may just want to be fast in removing/sending stock just to minimise damage done to BSR
