Amazon is not allowing barcodes from sites like speedybarcodes

I was trying to list a new product and keep getting error then I went online to talk to some other people and they told me amazon is not allowing barcodes from sites like speedybarcodes. only the GS1 barcode will work… is that true? I just listed something else with speedybarcodes like a month ago.

My issue with Amazon on speedy barcodes. Amazon accept the barcode on my private label item, After 1 year selling , amazon decides that the barcode is no longer accepted and I must use their barcode. After calling (waste of time) I had to recall all my inventory and figure out how to relabel 15,000 items with a new barcode printed 6×8 on 2 sides of the box. Without spending more money to purchase new boxes with logo and name, then repack everything. Now 2 years later, they tell me to switch to MFG barcode . I just really do not understand all the hoops you have to jump through, almost daily now. (just look at the cpc issues, and the several hundred new terms that are now trademark that I have to pull like range rover hot wheels or better home and garden is now being blocked)
